The adventure takes place on the Tarcoles River, one of the four rivers that flow to the Nicoya Peninsula and home to one of the largest crocodile colonies worldwide and can measure up to fifteen feet long. In addition to crocodiles, you can also find around fifteen different types of resident and migratory birds. Iguanas and Jesus Christ lizard are also very common. Our bilingual tour guides offer expert guidance on crocodiles and other species related to this wildlife. On the way back, the boat will head towards Estero Guacalillo, one of the most wonderful ecosystems that include four different species of Mangrove trees.
