The Hotel Montana Monteverde is adjacent to some 37 acres (15 hectares) of private forest. Trails extend throughout the forest, offering up excellent mountain views and the chance to spot a variety of wildlife. The grounds of the hotel are expansive as well and have breathtaking views of the Gulf of Nicoya in the distance. Understandably, the sunsets – during which a fiery red sun sinks into the rolling Pacific Ocean – can be spectacular from here.
