Iguana Lodge also has a new rental home, called the Villa Kula. The villa is spectacular with three stories: a fabulous master suite on the top floor, including a huge deck, bedroom, and luxury bathroom with a cantilevered shower over the jungle floor and bidet; the second floor has two bedrooms and a bathing area consisting of both a shower room and a separate toilet room; and on the first floor there is a great hang out space, open-air kitchen, and powder room.
Facilities:
Iguana lodge offers in each of our luxuriously rustic two-story bungalows, large orthopedic beds, Egyptian cotton sheets, soft pillows, good reading lights, and hefty fans. Each bungalow, of course, has its own exotic hot-water shower (a rarity in the Osa), with stone floors.
The main rancho is an awesomely impressive jungle structure. On the lower veranda breakfast is served (whenever you like)…and major relaxation occurs. (Inside the lower story is a large kitchen and library/research area stocked full of interesting information about the rain forest…we have also been told we have one of the largest reading libraries in the Osa, not to mention a self-proclaimed inspired librarian.) The upper story is where we feast every evening…it is a fantastic lofty space, with an ocean view in a classic tropical setting, lit by dozens of candles glowing under its massive thatched palm roof.
Iguana Lodge announces the newly built, beautiful 3 bedrooms, 2 and 1/2 bath house, playfully named VillaVillaKula after Pippi Longstocking (if you haven’t read this book in a while, the librarian recommends it). The VillaVillaKula is now available to rent. It is located next door to Iguana Lodge and is on the same fabulous beach. Our new addition is an architectural wonder (see the VillaVillaKula photo and info page). It has three floors which soar high into the canopy. You can enjoy viewing the macaws at eye level while reclining on your private balconies; the VillaVillaKula has its own kitchen and plenty of space for relaxing, and you can also make arrangements to dine at Iguana Lodge or Iguana Lodge’s Pearl of the Osa.
